Yes. Your digital logbook, dashboard, and other core tools are 100% free — no subscriptions, no contracts. We offer optional Tokens as pay-as-you-go credits for advanced features (such as PDF exports and other tools that cost us to run). You stay in full control and only pay when you choose to use a Token feature. The logbook is free, and it always will be.

Yes. NZAviator works on desktop, mobile, and tablets (including iPad). It’s optimised for larger screens, so we recommend using a desktop or laptop whenever possible to take full advantage of the tools, navigate faster, and view more information at once.

Yes. Your logbook data is private by default and protected with strong security controls. We use secure cloud infrastructure with encryption and restricted access, and your data is backed up automatically to help protect it against loss. You stay in control of your information, and any sharing is only done when you choose to enable it.

NZAviator is built specifically for New Zealand pilots, with NZ CAA-aligned logging and reporting in mind, so your entries stay consistent and your totals are ready for training, checks, and job applications. Unlike Excel, you don’t need formulas, templates, or manual totals, and you get tools that spreadsheets can’t realistically deliver, like structured flight entry, dashboard summaries, currency tracking, filters, and clean report outputs. Compared with many other logbook apps, the core platform is free with no subscriptions, your data is private and secure, and you only pay (via optional tokens) if you use advanced features. Looking ahead, your logbook data will also power career tools like CV-ready summaries and employment-focused reports, so you can generate what you need in seconds instead of rebuilding it every time.

Yes. You can export your data at any time using tokens. Create detailed PDF or CSV reports by choosing date ranges, selecting the fields you want, and applying advanced filters, ideal for licence applications, employers, or record keeping. You can also generate a complete, print-ready PDF of your entire logbook in the official NZ CAA format, laid out across multiple pages like a physical logbook.

Very easy. If you’re entering the same basic details you’d write in a physical logbook, it only takes seconds per flight. If you want stronger reporting for job applications and career progression, you can add more detail (activities, duty times, roles, custom fields, notes, and more). The more complete your entries are, the more powerful and accurate your totals, dashboards, and exportable reports become, so the time you invest upfront turns into better outputs later.
